What is Endion Hive?
Endion Hive is a secure, encrypted, peer-to-peer swarm storage system. It allows users to create self-replicating drives across trusted nodes with full end-to-end encryption and no central point of control.
Who is Endion Hive designed for?
Endion Hive is designed for businesses, government agencies, privacy-conscious individuals, and developers who need secure, resilient storage solutions that are free from cloud lock-in.
Is there a limit to the size of drives or files?
No. There are no size limits — drives and files can be as large as your storage infrastructure allows.
How is the data protected?
All data is encrypted locally before being distributed. Communications between nodes are protected with SSL, and Private Rings provide an additional layer of access control. Local caches store only encrypted data.
How does Endion Hive defend against ransomware?
If a node is compromised, it can be safely wiped and rebuilt. Data remains available from other nodes in the swarm. Hardened replication servers running secure Linux or BSD can provide highly trusted anchor points for data restoration.
Does Endion Hive support versioning and audit trails?
Yes. Hive supports file versioning and provides an audit trail of modifications (who and when). This is valuable for compliance, legal, and governance requirements.
Can I deploy Endion Hive entirely within my own network?
Yes. You can deploy Hive entirely within private networks — no data needs to traverse the public Internet unless you choose to operate across multiple sites.
Is Endion Hive free to use?
Yes. Hive is free for personal use and for small businesses (up to 8 clients). Servers are free for personal use (1 server). Paid licenses are available for larger enterprise deployments and advanced access control (Private Rings with scalable slots).
